American Costume Studies is located ...
...in a grey house on Main Street (Route 244), Alfred Station, across the street from the Alfred Station Seventh Day Baptist Church. All of that is found in Allegany County in western New York State. It is hilly and beautiful any time of year except March (not shown). Alfred Station is easy to reach.   [MAP]

We are a short walk down from the Canacadea Country Store, and my hustband's pottery shop (Hillbottom Pottery) is even closer. Also nearby is one of the few places you can find recumbent bicycles for sale, The Bicycle Man. The NYS College of Ceramics at Alfred University along with attractions like the International Museum of Ceramic Art are available in nearby Alfred.

What's more, the new and posh Saxon Inn on the edge of the Alfred University campus offers American Costume Studies students a special rate which means that if an overnight visit is required, life is beautiful, easy, and affordable.
